JOSHUA JENNINGS UPDATE

The Knights have received a statement from Josh’ wife, Sarah, with an update she would like to make to the BritBall community;

“The outpouring of support for Joshua Jennings across the world has been amazing and more than appreciated. Since the event that transpired during the 4th quarter of the game on Sunday, Josh has undergone comprehensive medical evaluation as well as a series of cardiac and neurological testing and although he is still in critical condition, he is responding better than expected.

Thank you for the calls, messages, and emails. Josh has made substantial improvement since his admittance to the hospital on Sunday. The care he has received from the medical staff has been exceptional.

Please continue to pray for Josh and we will provide updates as they are available. His family and friends will never be able to express enough gratitude for the prompt response from the staff, teammates, and first responders and would continue to request prayers and privacy during this time and throughout his recovery.”

The Knights would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Dan Harding, Willie Docherty, Bailey McFall, Dee Durant, Lynn May, Matt Flynn and Jacob Hardy from Sheffield Giants and our team medic Liz for their heroic efforts in performing CPR on Josh and saving his life. Their quick thinking, skillful actions, and unwavering dedication to helping others in need are truly admirable. Thanks to their teamwork and professionalism, Josh was able to receive the urgent medical attention he needed, and we are forever grateful for their life-saving actions. Your actions remind us of the power of human kindness and the importance of being prepared to act in an emergency. Thank you all for your exceptional work and for being an inspiration to us all.

We will continue to update you all on Josh’ progress whilst respecting
